We went to Seattle this weekend to visit with our friends Will and Concetta and catch a couple of baseball games at Safeco Field. Great facility. We even witnessed a record: the Mariners hit 30 innings without a run. Felix Fernandez was great, but didn’t get much support from his teammates in a 5-1 loss to the Texas Rangers. He got lots of support from the crowd, however – there’s an entire corner section called “King’s Corner,” and the fans there wear yellow shirts and these foam crowns to cheer on “King” Felix. Great way to sell the cheapest seats in the house…
This is a picture of Nicolas and Will overlooking the field during the second game (they lost 3-1 but hey! They scored a run in consecutive games!)
